A quick "how to" for those on a tight budget
Functional, not fancy. We took 2 x 6's and built the outer frame with them lying on their sides. We then placed 1 x 4's across the top with a spacing of 2-3 inches between. We added little legs for height and air flow. Our frame is a cal-king and we built it in 2 pieces so it could be moved easily. Be careful to inspect your wood and make sure it is not moldy. Ours was and my husband had to sand for hours. We put a non toxic finish on it afterwards.
PS....I would probably round the corner edges if we built one again.
