The vinyls they use are unhealthy and then they are treated with the same flame retardant chemicals as required by law. Now there are healthier options. Choose from 1 1/2" natural latex surrounded by Pure Grow Wool and Organic Cotton, quilted to a cotton outer, or 1 1/2" natural latex with an organic wool outer that acts as a moisture barrier or built in puddle pad on one side with plain organic cotton on the other side.. The second option is easy to care for - just air dry when wet or clean with soap and water when necessary. Bacteria and odors are gone when dry (the amazing quality of wool!) These puddle pads are made of the finest organic wool that has been preshrunk so that it is very water resistant and also washable (on cold - hang dry). Wool is naturally anti-bacterial and does not need frquent washing. If wet, just let dry and odors and bacteria disapear.
