SafecoatWaterShield is a clear, versatile, controlled penetration waterrepelling sealer which provides an invisible barrier against water andresists oils, grease and similar liquids. It is fast drying, hasexcellent adhesion, and is easy to apply. In addition to sealing andproviding a protective barrier against water migration, it helps toharden, dust proof and control efflorescence in masonry surfaces. It isnot toxic, non-flammable, lead free, formaldehyde free, and does notcontain surface contaminating silicones, making it a desirable coatingfor interior or exterior use. May be used on painted surfaces and maybe painted over when dry. Dries clear and does not discolor.

This is an excellent product—the clear alternative to conventional solvent- and water-based polyurethanes.  It offers the same easy-care benefits as the more toxic products, but has the same limitations, too.

Because it creates a thin plastic film over the surface, Safecoat Polyureseal BP provides a very water-resistant finish.  Just dust, mop or vacuum regularly and wipe off dirt with a damp mop.  SafeCoat Safety Clean works well.

As with all urethane finishes, Safecoat Polyureseal BP cannot be spot-repaired.  The entire room must be screened or sanded and a new finish coat applied.
