6" Latex Cores
Our Natural Latex Green Rubber, which is free of chemicals and synthetics, is now available for those wishing to make their own inexpensive organic and natural Mattress. These are not flame retardant and are materials only. You can add a wool moisture pad to help with the flame retardant properties. Buy a 6” core or two 3” cores. Place these cores in the zip cover and close. This will give you support at the least expense. Keep in mind that split cores create a much softer feel. We recommend the top layer xtra soft and firm or XFirm support layers. The heavier a person is, the denser the core they should use. These ship UPS and work great with slatted beds. Our natural rubber covered cores can be used to soften a mattress, XSoft or Soft, to
create a trundle or guest sleeping surface Firm, XFirm, or Super Firm,
or can be combined to create an inexpensive mattress setup. Just
combine 2 or 3 cores to make your bed just like you want it. We
recommend a soft top and a firmer base. Each core is covered in our
organic cotton muslin fabric. You can buy a separate organic cotton
cover to put your cores together or you can just buy these cores and
