4" Budget Latex

Our bestseller for kids! This is a budget alternative to our standard 6" Natural Latex Mattress. It is a 4.5" core of natural latex (absolutely no synthetics, no chemicals) wrapped in Organic Wool and Organic cotton quilted zip off outer. It finishes out at about 4 1/2". The wool is our natural flame retardent. There is no boric acid or chemical flame retardents added. This mattress works great for kids or adults either on a budget or who don't mind a less decadent mattress. My 18-year-old son (who is 6' 3") has this in his room and loves it. This can be made in custom sizes to fit motorhomes, campers, etc. A very nice option at a very good price.

***Please be aware these are made by PureRest and are slightly different than the version we sold about 2+ years ago...They no longer have cotton batting in the outer - just wool - so there is less for dustmites to live in. As a result they are slightly less padded....and sometimes have a zip outer...

This mattress works best on a slat style or platform bed with slats every 2-3". It does not need a boxspring, as it will make the mattress too soft....For added height you can use a wood foundation, but this is a "pricey to ship" item that ups the price of a budget mattress, as it must ship by freight company. (It is also an extra piece to purchase, produce and eventually dispose of, which we at Organic Grace try to avoid)
