EVENFLO GLASS BABY BOTTLES
Don't store your breastmilk or feed your baby with plastic! Most baby bottles are made of #7 plastic, which up until recently was thought to be the best. But it seems, eventually, all plastics contain something harmful to our health, and #7 turns out to contain bisphenol A - which is a hormone disruptor. The long term effects of this is unknown. Recent studies show even small amounts can be toxic. It has been linked to various forms of cancer, including breast cancer. Don't let our babies be guinnea pigs for the plastic industry. I know there are new products out there that use a "bisphenol-a free" plastic and that is good, but just what chemical have they replaced it with? How long until we find out that it, too, has been posioning our babies. I don't believe drinking and eating out of petroleum based plastics is healthy! Use pure glass bottles. I have used glass for over a year, and read many, many reviews and breakage is VERY rare. These bottles work great with Medela breastpumps. Medela now recomends breastmilk is stored in glass. (If you are storing breastmilk for a younger baby, please consider the 4 oz bottles as you can store smaller quantities and not waste any precious yummies.)
Evenflo has just (finally) replaced thier cancer causing rubber nipples with clear silicone (YAY!) so if you are looking for slow flow nipples, you no longer need to buy seperate nipples. If you have gotton Evenflo bottles that did come with those brown rubber nipples, then replace the nipples (which contain cancer-causing nitrosamines) that come with them with clear silicone. Evenflo makes some (available below), but beware the fast flow as they have a big "X" opening that chokes most babies. Breast fed babies can use a slower flow nipple, as they are used to "working harder" for their milk. My daughter used the medium flow until she was done with bottles.

EVENFLO CLEAR SILICONE NIPPLES
Clear silicone nipples that fit glass baby bottles. ALWAYS replace the old style brown rubber ones that up until recently came with the Evenflo bottles as they contain cancer-causing agents. The Evenflo bottles we have in stock now come with clear silicone slow flow nipples on them. These 4 packs of extra nipples come in Slow Flow or Medium Flow. I do not carry the fast flow as they are poorly designed with a big "x" opening that chokes babies. I do use the medium flow and they work fine for my toddler. Breastfed babies are used to working harder for their milk, so going with a slower flow nipple works well - they don't get used to the "easy" delivery of bottled milk.
